MATRI Inc. is a one-day forum created for Gujarati youth between the ages of 21 and 35 interested in finding a life partner. MATRI is actually the Sanskrit term for friendship, which is a key element in any successful marriage. It is for this reason that although we are a matrimonial forum we do not force ideas of marriage but instead encourage networking and meeting with people who share similar ideas and principles that may be lifelong friends or even marriage partners in the future. It is our belief that similarities in dharma, poshaak and khorak (religion, dress and food) are necessary to create a successful marriage. As Gujaratis it is our duty to therefore pave the way for our children and give them a prosperous and happy life by honoring our Gujarati traditions. We run this event with this in mind combining traditional concepts and more modern methods of meeting people from throughout the United States, Canada and England.
